The right
to a discount of 50 dinars on the electricity bill will be granted to
customers at guaranteed supply who opt for the replacement of
paper bills with electronic ones, the Assembly of Joint stock
company Elektroprivreda Srbije has decided.
The
Assembly accepted the Supervisory Board's proposal to reduce bills for
households and small customers by 50 dinars starting
from the first subsequent calculation from the day of receipt of the request
for the delivery of an e-bill.
“The
replacement of paper bills with electronic ones is another step in the
modernization and digitization process of Elektroprivreda
Srbije and it represents the effort to provide households and small
customers with a quick and simple insight into electricity consumption, as well
as bill payment. Furthermore, EPS thus expresses social
responsibility, i.e. responsibility towards the environment, because fewer
paper bills means less paper waste and destruction of trees“, said the
Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, representative of
the Government of the Republic of Serbia at the EPS
Assembly.
The digital
service, e-bill can be
activated as of the December calculation by submitting a request
electronically to (ugovarenje.bg@eps.rs,
ugovarenje.ns@eps.rs,
ugovarenje.kv@eps.rs,
ugovarenje.ni@eps.rs,
ugovarenje.kg @eps.rs ) or in person at EPS counters. The form can be
downloaded from the website and at the counters of Elektroprivreda Srbije,
and when applying, it is necessary to submit the billing number from the
account and the electronic address for bill delivery.
Customers will simply be able to activate the service on the View
Your Bill portal.
“Now we want
to additionally motivate our citizens not to wait for a paper bill and not to queue
up at the counter, because there is no need for that anymore. The e-bill
significantly shortens the period from the date of bill
issuance to the date of receipt by the customer. By replacing paper bills with
electronic ones, which will also optimize the company's costs, we will also
give a positive impulse to the preservation of the environment“, said Dušan
Živković, EPS Acting
Director.
EPS has intensified
the digitization of customer services at the beginning of November with the
launch of the new View Your Bill portal, which has so far registered
almost 270,000 users. Soon, a mobile application will be available to customers
in Serbian and English, with the possibility of sending notifications and
submitting complaints.
