CSR projects
By providing energy support to the citizens and economy of Serbia, Elektroprivreda Srbije strives to contribute equally to the development and well-being of its community. We believe that success is measured by targeted participation in society’s activities for the benefit of all citizens, rather than solely through business results. Our mission is to help in setting up system solutions that will improve the quality of life in the long run, as well as to react quickly in situations when this is necessary.
EPS attaches great importance to education and raising citizens’ awareness about energy efficiency and saving electricity. Energy efficiency is promoted in different ways, through cooperation with the media, by publishing electricity saving and energy efficiency increase guidance. For more than five years, in cooperation with the Ambassadors of Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection Association, workshops have been organized throughout Serbia on the topic of energy efficiency and electricity saving in primary and secondary schools.
EPS supports and assists the work of the most important state bodies, institutions and associations in the field of science and education: The University of Belgrade and the faculties educating future experts needed by the electricity industry, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Nikola Tesla Institute, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, the Union of Engineers and Technicians. We also sponsor the most important trade conferences and fairs: CIGRE, CIRED, Energy, Mining, Water, Energy Fair and Energy Summit in Trebinje. Through various events focusing on science, such as the Science Festival, Tesla Days and Researchers’ Night, EPS contributes to the affirmation of science. We also endorse scientific and educational camps for the youngest – Viminacium Children’s Camp, Tara Eco Camp and Mihajlo Pupin Idvorski. EPS also helped equip more than 200 primary and secondary schools throughout Serbia.
EPS strives to be involved in as many actions as possible to aid treatment, especially treatment of children. With its donations, EPS facilitated better work of the largest health institutions in the country (Clinical Center of Serbia, Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases, Dragiša Mišović Clinical Center) and many hospitals in Serbia, as well as the procurement of medical devices, equipment and medicines. We provide significant support to the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (NURDOR), the Counselling Center for Combating Domestic Violence, the Association of Children’s Roma Humanitarian Center Vlaški Romi, and the Association for Palliative Care and Palliative Medicine Belhospice. We are especially proud of the donation that went towards the purchase of digital baby scales.
We uphold the work of homes for neglected children and persons with disabilities, children without parents, the work of non-governmental organizations in the field of human rights protection and the rights of minority communities. Elektroprivreda Srbije is particularly proud of the humanity shown by its employees in the most critical moments (the earthquake in Kraljevo and the catastrophic floods of May 2014). Employees regularly participate in voluntary blood donation campaigns.
Elektroprivreda Srbije is dedicated to continuous support for the development of culture and artistic creativity, as well as the protection of cultural assets and cultural heritage. EPS is a friend of national cultural institutions: The National Museum in Belgrade, the National Theatre in Belgrade, the Nikola Tesla Museum, the Museum of Science and Technology, the Museum of Contemporary Art and an entire series of cultural projects.
EPS supports the preservation of spiritual values and is a donor to the construction completion of the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade. The company aided many monasteries and churches, as well as religious institutions of other religions in Serbia.
