The Joint Stock
Company "Elektroprivreda Srbije" has announced a a call for
scholarships applications for students of technical faculties, and in this way,
the largest company in Serbia provides the best students with a chance for
professional development and employment.
On the basis of the
call, scholarships in the amount of RSD 35,000 per month will be awarded to undergraduate
students in the final year and students who are enrolling in master's studies
for the first time. The scholarship is paid for all 12 months of the school
year, and the scholarship recipients will be selected in the call.
- As the largest
company, not only in our country but also far beyond, EPS would like to support the most valuable
students of technical faculties and also would like to be a company where these
most valuable students will build their professional careers one day, said
Hristina Radovanović, Executive Director for Human Resources. – This year we
are awarding 30 scholarships to students of technical faculties – Faculty of
Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Civil
Engineering and Faculty of Mining and Geology. The scholarship agreement
includes the possibility of professional practice, as well as the possibility
of employment after completing the studies.
She invited students
to inform themselves about the conditions and how to apply on the EPS website
and become part of the largest team in Serbia, which contributes to Serbia's
energy security every day and is a pillar of Serbian economy development.
- The engineer job at
EPS is demanding, inspiring, innovative and requires us to constantly develop
and improve our knowledge - said Miloš Popović, Lead Engineer of the Turbine
Plant at TENT B. - I was on an internship at EPS before employment and it
complemented my studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This call for
scholarships applications will contribute to young colleagues gaining knowledge
about working in large systems, developing themselves as engineers and using
their knowledge and skills in the best way.
Aleksandar
Latinović, Head of the Divison for the Improvement of the Power Plant System, a
former EPS scholar, pointed out that the electric power industry is the basic
branch of the energy sector and that it is where the basic knowledge is
acquired and which can be developed later, especially since EPS has many new,
primarily RES projects.
- The conditions for
scholarship applications are really good, both in terms of scholarships and the
job itself - explained Nikola Lapčević, a student of the Faculty of Electrical
Engineering, after the talks with EPS engineers at the Energy Fair. - EPS
offers a lot for ETF students who are eager to advance. I think this is a great
team where we can improve. The conditions of the scholarship applications are fair
and it is clear that much attention has
been paid to ensure that the students are satisfied.
- This is a nice
opportunity for young people who are at the beginning of their careers and I
think that the scholarships will provide encouragement during their studies and
later with employment. The conditions of the scholarship application are good
and require little paperwork," said Jelena Balšić from the ETF.
The right to
scholarships is granted to students of faculties founded by the Republic of
Serbia and who have Serbian citizenship. The condition is that they are not
recepients of other scholarships and loans from the state budget and that they
are not employed. Bachelor students should have their average grade at least 8
in the final year and for master students, the average grade during the first
cycle of studies should be at least 8. If a greater number of candidates apply
for the call for scholarships applications, they will be ranked on the basis of
the average grade, i.e. additional criteria listed in the call for scholarship
application.
