The Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla A is operating smoothly, and today, Dušan Živković,
General Manager of EPS, confirmed this during his visit. He toured the
facilities, engaging with the employees and focusing on the challenges brought
by recent snowfall.
“It’s crucial for our employees to understand just
how vital their work is for the security of the power system. They know better
than anyone the difficulties of maintaining a system that’s mostly over 50
years old. We’re tackling many challenges together; it’s not easy, but we’re
succeeding. Today, all units at TENT A are operational, except for the
smallest, A1, where work is nearing completion. We have more than 1.6 million
tons of stockpiled coal and significant reserves in our reservoirs. EPS is not
on the brink of collapse; our employees know this, as their dedication and
expertise ensure our success,” Živković stated.
The miners at the open-pit mines of Kolubara and Drmno have also faced tough conditions recently.
Producing coal in open-pit mines is always challenging, especially in harsh
weather conditions like snow, rain, ice, and wind.
