The Assembly of the Joint Stock Company "Elektroprivreda Srbije" has adopted new methodologies for the electricity prices formation for customers of commercial supply. The goal of the new methodologies is to establish prices that meet the unique needs of commercial customers of EPS while maintaining financial integrity and business sustainability. A new method of price formation for the economy ensures that prices reflect current market conditions while providing stability and predictability for customers.

Dubravka Đedović Handanović, the Minister of Mining and Energy and the representative of the Founder in the Assembly of EPS JSC, pointed out that by adopting the methodology, Serbia fulfilled the last structural benchmark of the International Monetary Fund for Energy.

- New methodologies now provide room to monitor market movements in both directions, both in the case of falls and price jumps. The new methodology will contribute to more efficient contracting of electricity supply with customers on the open market under competitive conditions, considering criteria such as the lowest price of electricity, payment term and security of supply – said Đedović Handanović.

Methodologies were adopted for the formation of fixed prices and prices with levelling for the complete supply of electricity to end customers, which is carried out according to market principles, as well as the methodology for forming prices for the supply of end customers under a contract with a predetermined quantity, the methodology for the formation of the final price with dynamic pricing for the complete supply of electricity to end customers, the methodology for determining the selling price of electricity generated from renewable sources for the supply of end customers and the methodology for determining the price for electricity supplied from the buyer - producer under the contract for full supply with net billing.

- The flexibility of contracting brought by these methodologies will also contribute to a more diverse offer, which will result in the improvement of energy efficiency and competitiveness of the Serbian economy, due to the possibility of optimizing electricity costs in the final products - emphasized Đedović Handanović.
