Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mining and Geology received scholarship
contracts today by ’’Elektroprivreda Srbije“.
Final
year undergraduate students and first-time master's students were selected
through a competition and awarded scholarships in the amount of RSD 35,000 per
month. The scholarships are paid for all 12 months of the school year. The best
students who received the scholarships were awarded EPS contracts by Dušan
Živković, the company's General Manager.
- Thirty
of the best students from technical faculties are practically part of the team
of the largest energy company in the country from today. We are honoured that
these young and hardworking people will have the opportunity to get to know our
system, learn something new, upgrade their current academic knowledge and I
believe that they will start their professional career in EPS - said Hristina
Radovanović, Executive Director for Human Resources at EPS AD. - The interest
of students with exceptionally good grades was great and this is an indicator
that young people want to gain new knowledge and experience in our company and
recognize EPS as the right place for a career. The transformation of EPS's
business is underway, we have the first results, and it is quite certain that
our scholarship holders will be part of that process. The goal is for EPS to
continue to be a meeting point of knowledge, profession and innovation, a
company that guarantees energy security for the citizens and economy of Serbia.
The
scholarship competition is one of the ways for EPS to rejuvenate its employee
structure, and applications for the competition for the employment of 19
engineers at TENT have been completed. In the coming period, mechanical,
electrical and civil engineers will be selected, and all 19 engineers will be
given permanent jobs.
